General instructions and recommendations for the implementation of the study process at UL MF in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year will be uniformly available on this website. Students will also receive detailed instructions regarding the study process from organizational units on a regular basis, and employees will also receive more detailed instructions, which must be provided by the Dean's Office of the University of Ljubljana.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, new conditions have arisen in Slovenia that affect the work of our faculties. At the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana, we will continue our studies insofar as it is possible to use the usual forms, such as all state regulations and recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health. We urge you to behave responsibly, follow the notifications carefully and follow the instructions provided by UL MF, holders and contractors.
Students and employees of UL MF are kindly asked to follow the instructions in the recommendations diligently.
In the premises of UL MF, it is mandatory to use a protective face mask and disinfect hands when entering and leaving the premises of UL MF.
Enter the UL MF premises individually, staying as short as possible, taking into account a distance of 1.5 m from each other and using protective masks, group gatherings are not permitted. Hand disinfection is also required upon entering individual rooms (lecture halls, offices, institutes and departments).
It is obligatory for students to wear a student card in a visible place upon entering the UL MF premises. When performing exercises (laboratory exercises, clinical exercises, exercises in a simulation environment), it is also mandatory to wear UL MF work clothes.
Classes are held according to the schedule with the beginning of the academic year, general schedules are available on the websites of the years. Implementation schedules are prepared by the course holders and are published on the course websites.
For all forms of classes where the number of students present would exceed the number of seats available subject to hygiene measures, UL MF will provide the possibility of attending classes at a distance.
According to the UL recommendation, it is especially important for younger students to maintain personal contact with the lecturers, so it is recommended to perform it in physical form as much as possible, taking into account hygienic measures.
Laboratory and clinical exercises and all other forms of teaching, which take place in small groups or under the supervision of a mentor, in a simulation environment or in educational institutions, are carried out according to the schedule in physical form. All instructions and measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection should be followed when teaching in physical form.
Physical contacts between employees and students, contacts between students and entry to the premises of UL MF are limited to a minimum. Talking hours for students are conducted via e-mail, course holders communicate with students through representatives of years and rotations, course websites and online classrooms.
Students are obliged to perform their study obligations in accordance with the instructions they receive from the providers of the study program. Students are encouraged to act responsibly, to carefully follow notifications and follow instructions provided by UL MF, lecturers and course providers, and to perform assigned duties and tasks.
Students are encouraged to strictly follow the instructions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection and any restrictions and instructions issued by educational hospitals and other health care facilities.
It is the responsibility of all UL MF employees and students to follow all NIJZ hygiene recommendations and UL MF instructions.
UL MF will use the Webex application for the purpose of conducting distance learning.
All recommendations for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection and all restrictions and instructions of teaching hospitals should be strictly followed.
If a student performs clinical exercises at the University Medical Center Ljubljana, he / she enters through the premises of UL MF. He should enter with a face mask, and disinfect his hands at the point of entry and exit. The student changes clothes in the UL MF student locker room.
It is mandatory to wear UL MF clothing and an identification document (student card) in a visible place. If necessary and at the request of the teaching hospital or institution, the student changes into the uniforms of the hospital or institution.
In hospital wards, operating and diagnostic rooms and outpatient clinics, detention is allowed only with protective masks of type 2R, which students bring with them. Students must change their masks when they are moisturized or every two hours.
If a student performs clinical practice at the University Medical Center Ljubljana, he / she must report to the secretariat of the department before the start of the exercises, where he / she will take over the protective masks.
All forms of clinical exercises with the patient and in the simulation environment must be performed continuously under the supervision of a mentor, clinical exercises are not performed in covid wards and in t.i. gray covid areas.
If a student performs organized clinical practice at the Dental Clinic, entry is limited to one entry point, at the back of the building. A protective surgical mask should be worn upon entry and general preventive measures should be followed.
It is mandatory to carry an identification document (student card) in a visible place upon entry.
Surgical masks and gloves and your protective clothing should be worn during preclinical exercises.
In clinical exercises with patients, the following personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn in the event of an aerosol being envisaged: FFP2 protective mask, visor, water-repellent coat, and nitrile short gloves. Drop insulation uses a type IIR surgical mask, visor, washable coat and examination gloves.
The lectures are intended for students of the Medical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana and students of other study programs of the University of Ljubljana, which are conducted at UL MF, in order to realize their own study obligations and interests. Lectures are legally protected in accordance with the Copyright and Related Rights Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 16/07 - official consolidated text, 68/08, 110/13, 56/15, 63/16 - ZKUASP and 59/19) as an author's work. Reproduction (making copies, including storage in electronic form), dissemination and other public communication of the recording of the lecture (eg public display, online publication), modification and other forms of exploitation of the recording are not allowed without the prior written consent of the copyright holder, the University of Ljubljana. Any copyright infringement will be prosecuted by the University of Ljubljana. Violation of moral and material copyrights also means a criminal offense under Articles 147 and 148 of the Criminal Code (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 50/12 - official consolidated text, 6/16 - amended, 54/15, 38/16 and 27 / 17).
Detailed instructions regarding the course of the study process for specific subjects will be provided to students by organizational units and course holders.
