Information on the Minimum Admission Requirements for the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine and the Start of Online Enrollment for the 2026/2027

The minimum admission requirements for higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year have been published and are available on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth: Call for Enrollment in Undergraduate and Integrated Master’s Degree Programs for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

Applicants received their admission decisions via the eVŠ portal.

Online enrollment for the first year of the integrated master’s degree programs at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Medicine is expected to begin after Monday, July 27, 2026.

Admissions Data for the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine

This year, too, there was a great deal of interest in studying at the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, 467 applicants listed the medical program as their first choice. There were 240 available spots, and 250 applicants were admitted. The minimum admission score this year was 83.9 points, compared to 84.6 points last year.

For the dental medicine program, 178 applicants listed it as their first choice. There were 60 available spots, and 61 applicants were admitted. The minimum admission score this year was 82.9 points, compared to 81.9 points last year.

Admission Quota for the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

Applicants who applied during the first application period were selected based on the following criteria:

30% of the points were based on overall performance on the general high school graduation exam,
10% of the points were based on overall performance in the 3rd and 4th years of high school,
and 60% of the points were based on performance in the general matriculation exam subjects: mathematics, a foreign language, and one of the natural science subjects (biology, physics, or chemistry).
