Graduation ceremony for medical and dental graduates

On Tuesday, 5 March 2024, a ceremony was held in the Chamber Hall of the University of Ljubljana, where 44 medical graduates and 13 dental graduates were awarded their diplomas and special distinctions.

The ceremony was led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Igor Švab, and the Vice-Dean, Prof. Dr. Tomaž Marš, and continued with the reading of the Hippocratic Oath, which represents the fundamental ethical guidelines in the medical profession. This was followed by the awarding of special prizes to nineteen graduates who had achieved an average grade of 9 or above.

The Dean and the Vice-Dean congratulated the new graduates, the Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry, and their colleagues. Their efforts and perseverance have borne fruit. It has not been an easy journey, but they have overcome all obstacles.

They now have a long and, we hope, successful professional journey ahead of them, where life, rather than their studies, will shape them. The final assessment will be made by the patients, and it is their assessment that is the most decisive. This is the most difficult exam a doctor has to pass.

We wish them to do their job with dedication and joy. We also hope that they will always keep our faculty in their fond memories.

We will miss you. Good luck!
