The Central Medical Library is located between Hrvatski trg and the Ljubljanica river. The entrance is from Vrazov trg, right by Šempeter Bridge. The nearest bus stop is located in front of the University Medical Centre and is served by the following routes from the centre: 9 (Štepanjsko naselje), 2 (Nove Jarše), 11 (Zalog) and 20 (Fužine).

A public car park is located in the immediate vicinity of the CMK (charges apply).
